Historic Estates and Plantations

 

    We love doing older estates and plantations that most smaller firms arent equiped to do. We can do complete restorations from plastering the interior to restoring the exterior windows. Marty York started painting in 400 year old Danish plantations in the US. Virgin Islands 25 years ago, and moved back to Richmond in 1991.  There are few things in this business that are as satisfying as working on an old estate.

Residential painting is the majority of our business. We enjoy working with homeowners, and we do the work as if it were on our own houses. Preparation is everything, and we usually guarantee our work for at least several years unconditionally, with a lifetime warrantee on the bonding of most materials.   We hand brush almost all of our exterior work, and work around our clients schedules to make sure rooms are usable and clean each evening.

 
 

Plaster and Wood restoration

We dont shy away from preparation or restoration of plaster, wood, windows, porch floors, etc.  Sometimes we cant work miracles on exhisting wood, but we can usually replace it, or come close to restoring it to its original state with pourable epoxy or epoxy paste. Whether it be plaster relief, replicating capitals, rebuilding walls, water damage, or 250 year old windows with dowel rods, ...we dont mind.
